DISY mourns the death of Kika Olympiou "Her contribution to culture will remain indelible"

We and the Cypriot society as a whole were saddened to learn of the death of a distinguished and beloved philologist Kika Olympiou, DISY said.

As noted in a statement, Kika Olympiou served for many years in secondary education, receiving the recognition and appreciation due to her person and her contribution, which she continued after her retirement, both by collaborating with RIK on a number of educational issues and as a member of the Advisory Committee of the Cyprus Library, as well as in the Advisory Committee on Letters of the Ministry of Education and Culture.

"But her literary footprint was and will remain deep, with the publication of a series of literary works on the great writers of Hellenism as well as her own original works. Kika Olympiou's contribution to the culture and intellectual events of the country will remain indelible in time

We express our sincere condolences to the family and relatives of Kika Olympiou. Her memory is eternal."
