Disciplinary investigation of police officer who tried to bypass airport screening They took all passengers off the plane and sent them back

A disciplinary investigation has been ordered against the police officer who caused disruption and delay in the departure of flights at Larnaca Airport this afternoon

As reported in a previous Cyprus Times report, passengers on two flights were forced to be rechecked on the instructions of the Civil Aviation Authority when the police officer in question was spotted trying to bypass the checkpoint using his pass.

As soon as he was noticed by airport officials and the Civil Aviation flight protocol, which provides for screening of all passengers, was activated.

In fact, on one of the two departing flights at that time, the passengers were inside the aircraft and were asked to exit and return to the screening area.
