The Deputy Minister of Social Welfare is in Paris for conferences on homelessness and children - The competent European Ministers will have the opportunity to review the policies followed by the Member States at national level
The Deputy Minister of Social Welfare Anastasia Anthousi is in Paris, to participate in conferences organised by the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union on EU strategies on the issues of homelessness and the guarantee for children.[/B]
In particular, as stated in a statement by the Ministry of State transmitted by the MFA, Ms. Anthoussi will participate in the conference entitled "Combating Homelessness at the European Level", which takes place on Monday.
At the conference, the relevant European Ministers will have the opportunity to review the policies pursued by Member States at national level and to exchange views and best practices on homelessness and housing policy.
On 4 March, the State Secretary for Social Welfare will participate in the Conference "Building Europe's future: implementing the European Child Guarantee". The conference will focus on the implementation of the European Child Guarantee policy, which aims to improve the quality of life of children by combating poverty and social exclusion, taking into account the specific needs of children from early childhood.
In the margins of her participation in the two conferences, Ms Anthoussi will also have a meeting with her French counterpart.
