At least one person has died, many roads flooded and thousands of households left without electricity by the passage of Storm Malik through Sweden and Denmark this weekend.
In central Denmark, a 78-year-old woman died from a strong gust of wind when she opened the door of her home from the inside. The woman was blown out of the house by the wind, then fell and was seriously injured, resulting in her death.
Meteorological services in both countries have warned that water levels may rise and that winds, especially overnight, will have hurricane force winds.
