Again delays and inconvenience for parents at schools in Limassol and Nicosia, says the Director of Secondary School Parents to the Cyprus Times - Better situation but delays remain, says OELMEK Up to 1 hour wait for primary school children to get their results
After the yesterday's meeting of officials to normalize the situation and despite the increase in "test to stay" sampling points however, queues and delays were still observed at certain schools today, according to the Director of Secondary Education Parents Haralambos Dionysiou.
Speaking to the Cyprus Times, Dionysiou pointed out that in some places again there were delays in carrying out inspections, either because the crews did not go, or because they were late to start.
"The complaints we have from parents refer to schools in Limassol and Nicosia where again there were queues and delays. We have had places where we were informed that by 9:00am there were queues of pupils waiting for tests," he said."

Dionysiou called on the relevant ministry to draw attention to those who buy services and if they do not comply then take other actions.
However, on the part of OELMEK Themis Polyviou stressed that even today there were cases in schools where there was a delay but in general he said the measure seems to be slowly working.
1 hour wait to get a result in a Nicosia primary school
On the part of primary education parents, Mr Frixos Zebylas speaking to the Cyprus Times noted that today there were problems in a primary school in Latsia, where there was one person at the sampling point, for 20-30 pupils.
"Unfortunately it took in this particular school for the pupils to get a result after an hour as the crew was understaffed," he said.
Recall that after yesterday's meeting, "test to stay" sampling points were significantly increased with Health and Education Ministers talking about a measure that works positively for the benefit of pupils who no longer lose valuable teaching time.
The coming days will also determine whether the Department of Health will activate plan b, there and where Pharmacies will be involved in administering tests to avoid delays and inconvenience.
