The moments that followed the murderous attack on 19-year-old Alkis and his friends in the area of Charilaou were shocking and Voria brings to light.
According to the publication, the group of five people who were blindly attacked were on Monday afternoon in a café in Harilaou square, "Stamatis Karamanlis", a few meters away from the place where Alkis would shortly afterwards fall dead. They then started to walk around the area, eventually arriving at the spot where the murderous attack took place.
Two cars stopped in front of the children while they were walking and were on Gazi Street. The occupants asked them "what team they are". The children, who had reportedly been asked such a question before by people "looking" for a fan excuse, replied that they were Aris fans, while they were not wearing insignia referring to the yellow and black team.
Then the people in the cars got out of them and started beating three of the five in the group, as the two managed to escape. The person who cut the thread of Alki's life brought a carabid knife in his hand and stabbed Alki, while the other two children, Ag. and D., were also stabbed
After the murderous attack, the perpetrators got back into the vehicles, which they had left in the middle of Plastira. During their escape, people who were near the scene rushed to stop at least one vehicle, throwing objects at it, which is confirmed by the video documentary that came to light of the attack.
What followed after the perpetrators fled is chilling: Alkis was bleeding profusely from the stab wound to the thigh and the powerful blows he received all over his body, especially in the head, while one of his friends, Ag, although he had received seven blows from a sharp object, which fortunately were superficial, was trying to see if Alkis was alive.
Immediately at the scene, according to what was reported to Voria.gr people close to Alkis' company, arrived the father of Ag. who was informed about the incident and went over his son to see if he is well. Then Ag., with what strength he had left, told his father to leave him and that Alkis was dying. "Leave me, dad, go to Alkis, I couldn't save him"
The ambulances of the ambulance service arrived at the spot immediately. The three children were taken to the Papanikolaou hospital. Alkis could not hold on and ended up, while the two other children suffered injuries that were not life-threatening. Today they were discharged and returned to their homes.
As close friends of Alkis' friends point out, Ag., although he had not lost consciousness, did not remember the course of events and gradually more and more images of the fateful night came to him. Thus, Ag., not wanting to leave the children to suffer this ordeal alone - since due to the pandemic access to hospitals is limited -, did not reveal that Alkis was killed but mentioned that he was in a critical condition in intensive care, so that they would be disturbed as little as possible.
Sure enough, yesterday the two children finally learned of the tragic development for Alkis from a person with an institutional role.
