Coordinated police operation in the community of Chloraka with checks on houses
The police continued the coordinated operations for policing the community of Chloraka yesterday.
According to the press spokesman and Head of the Paphos CID, Michael Nicolaou, during the operation, checks were carried out at various houses, apartment complexes and traffic controls.
Two persons were found to violate the decree of the Minister of Interior dated 3/12/2021, concerning the prohibition of settlement of applicants for international protection within the given community.
A criminal case is being investigated against these persons, as well as the owner of the apartment complex where they were found to reside, for violating the relevant decree.
During the operation 50 vehicles were intercepted for inspection.
During the operation 50 vehicles were intercepted for inspection. According to Mr. Nicolaou, during the traffic checks carried out, police members made 18 complaints, for various traffic offences.
The Paphos Police are continuing their investigations.
