Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis had telephone communications this morning with Ambassador Francis Costellenos, who has been sent on an emergency mission to Mariupol to strengthen the operation of the Greek Consulate General there, and the Consul General in Odessa, Dimitris Dochtsis.
The Prime Minister thanked them for their services in very difficult circumstances in order to provide all possible assistance to Greek nationals and expatriates of Ukraine. It is noted that in Mariupol the Greek Consulate General is the only one that will remain open.
The Greek consular authorities in the two cities, in daily close cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, continue to provide assistance to Greek nationals, expatriates and journalists in the region.
