The journalistic family mourns the untimely loss of Pambos Vassila, a colleague of integrity and meek character, ethics and diligence.

Pambos Vassilas passed away late in the afternoon of Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at the age of just 50, after a lengthy open-heart surgery, due to multiple health problems he had faced in recent years.

The journalistic family mourns his untimely death

The Cyprus Union of Journalists (CPJ) in a statement said that Pambos Vassilas was an active and active member of the Union for almost thirty years. He started his journalistic career at the youth magazine "Flash" and subsequently worked, in turn, at the daily newspapers "Mahi", "Alithia" and "Simerin".

His funeral will be held on Friday 31 December 2021 at 11 a.m. from the Holy Church of Agia Marina and Archangel Michael in Dasaki, Achna.

The Municipality of Larnaca refers in a statement to the loss of the journalist Pambos Vassilas, noting that through his profession, he promoted Larnaca and its actions to the maximum, since his relations and ties with our city were strong and unchanged.
