Claims of "others" by Turkish Aksam about the National Anthem What the newspaper reports

The National Anthem of Greece includes the phrase "let every Turkish seed spill into the ocean", claims the Turkish newspaper Aksam in its front page today under the headline "Spoken by those who made their atrocities their national anthem".[BR]The newspaper writes that Ankara's response was harsh to statements made by Greek President Katerina Sakellaropoulou yesterday who accused Turkey of systematic genocide against the Greeks of Pontus.

She cited lyrics which she attributed to the Greek National Anthem, claiming it was inspired by the Greek uprising against the Ottoman Empire in 1821 and constantly repeating Turkish hostility.

According to Aksam's claims, the lyrics of the Greek National Anthem are as follows: "Deep ocean, behold, I wanted it to roar. And in its waves to drown every Turkish seed. Why was the battle slowed down for a moment? Why did the blood that was shed diminish? Their dirty blood has become a river. It flows into the plain. And they were dying everywhere. Those miserable abandoned scum."
