International coronavirus cases on the rise Vietnam sets record for 13th day
Cases of COVID-19 are increasing in several countries around the world, with Vietnam setting a record in the number of cases for the 13th consecutive day.
Vietnam's Ministry of Health announced on Wednesday that 164,596 SARS-CoV-2 infections were confirmed in the previous 24 hours - a record for the 13th consecutive day, above the 100,000 level for the eighth 24-hour period - bringing the total to 5,042,036. The deaths of 109 patients due to complications of COVID-19 raised the death toll of the new coronavirus pandemic in the Southeast Asian nation to 41,086. In the country of 98 million people, 198.6 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered.
