The Minister of Transport, Communications and Works, Mr. Yannis Karousos is leaving today for Toulouse, France, to participate in the Air Transport Summit, which is taking place in the framework of the French Presidency of the EU.[/P]The Summit will be attended by the Transport Ministers and Directors of Civil Aviation of the 27 Member States, representatives of the European Commission and the European Parliament, as well as aviation stakeholders. The discussion will focus on the resilience of aviation in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and the need to reduce the sector's carbon footprint. Karousos will hold a series of contacts with his counterparts to promote the Declaration on Aviation Connectivity, prepared on the initiative of Cyprus and supported by 12 other EU Member States.
