Regarding the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers to take the measure test to stay[/B] in primary and secondary education, the Ministry of Health informs that at a meeting held today 13 January 2022 at the Ministry of Health, in the presence of the Minister Mr. Michael Hadjipandela, the Minister of Education Mr. Prodromos Prodromos, the Head of the Scientific Advisory Committee Mr. Konstantinos Tsioutis and officials of the Ministry of Health, the ways of optimal implementation of the above measure were examined.

The educational organisations will be informed at a meeting to be held on Monday 17 January 2022, where the start date of the implementation of the measure test to stay will be announced.[/B]

In a statement, the Department of Health said that "the aim is for schools to remain safe and operational, providing children with the basic right to education."

This measure will be an option for students who under the protocols must be confined and will be allowed to attend school, provided they provide a negative Rapid test for a period of 5 days after the day of contact.
