The information that an agreement was reached on the formation of the new three-party "government" was reported by the Turkish Cypriot media on Friday evening.

The information was confirmed by the leader of the National Unity Party (NUP), who earlier spoke to "Bayrak".

According to Faiz Suzhouoglu, talks on the formation of the new "government" have now entered the final stretch.

"An agreement has been reached on the formation of the CEC-Democratic Party (DP)-Renaissance Party (RPA) government," he said. According to the CEC leader, in the new "government" the CEC will control eight "ministries" and the other two parties will control one "ministry" each.

The list of names of the new "ministers" will be presented to T/C leader Ersin Tatar on Monday. This will be followed by a vote of confidence in the "parliament."
