When Friedrich Nietzsche wrote that "it is impossible to suffer without making someone pay for it. Every complaint already contains revenge" probably didn't imagine that his quote would fit like a glove in a Hollywood-flavored love and hate story.

Because above all, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie proved in the most typical way that not only do beautiful loves burn beautifully, but in their ashes the hatred of the two exes dances. The warfare that has been prevalent in recent years between the ex-Brigelina's has opened a new front with Brad attacking this time .

With a legal battle still raging between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie over not only their children but also their property, the famous actress is taking revenge in many ways on the man she once "stole" from our very own Jennifer Aniston.

And this revenge hides many behind-the-scenes machinations and hits that rarely become known, such as the one that was leaked to a relatively small circle of people concerning the famous Chateau Miraval, the former couple's estate in Provence.

Being crazy about the estate, the actor tried to buy Jolie's share not once, not twice but five times so that he and the Perrin family would have total control.

When a few months ago the Perrin family who together with Brad Pitt jointly own Chateau Miraval invited around sixty people from all over Europe to introduce them to the second year of Fleur de Miraval everything seemed to be going well.

This is the rosé champagne they launched last year and it was a hit, confirming what the actor had told Thomas and Marc Perrin a few years ago.

That the time would come when they would launch their own champagne, an ardent desire of the actor, who fell in love with this estate from the very first moment.[BR]Unlike Angelina, he went much more often to see the vines, talk about his ideas and generally show how much he loved this investment in Provence.

And then came the tumultuous divorce that turned contentious, and Chateau Miraval did not escape this conflict, as Jolie eventually managed to make her ex's life very difficult.

The Revenge Too Late and the Angry Reaction

When she decided to sell her share a few years ago according to a hitherto unknown backstory, Brad Pitt told her that he was interested in buying her share.

He was apparently unaware that for women, revenge is a dish to be eaten cold and Angelina made sure to serve it to him not once, but five times!

Her tactics? Well known to people in the know but they still preferred not to make it widely public, refusing to play on this particular issue.

So behind the scenes, Brad and Angelina have agreed five times in the last two years to buy her share, with the price going higher and higher each time.

Amounts were not disclosed, but each time and a moment before the final signatures fell, Jolie refused to sell and left her ex out in the cold.

It was her way of getting back at Brad Pitt, knowing that he loved the estate that produced the famous Miraval rosé wine and Fleur de Miraval.

Finally when she decided to sell her stake as it became known she ended up with the famous Italian winery Tenuta del Mondo owned by Russian billionaire Yuri Scheffler, no more details were revealed.

Brad did not let the former's challenge go unanswered and filed a lawsuit against Jolie, in which the two had reportedly agreed that neither could sell their share without the other's approval.

According to the lawsuit, she "sold her share knowing of the intent of Scheffler and his affiliates to attempt to control the business to which Pete has devoted himself as well as to undermine his investment."

The actor's lawyers pointed out that Jolie's move was intended to cause "irreparable damage to Pitt who has invested money and sweat in Chateau Miraval which under his management has become an international success story".

The actress reportedly informed her ex-husband in a letter sent last January about the sale of her stake to Scheffler, stressing, according to the documents, that it was "a painful decision which she took with a heavy heart".

So far, her representatives have not commented on Brad Pitt's lawsuit and the amount of the deal remains unknown.

Although the figure of $28,200,000 was written down, essentially only speculation can be made about the deal announced by the new owners.

They have only bought land and cannot interfere in terms of the wines produced and their distribution although it is considered certain that sooner or later they will want to do so.

The general manager of the Italian winery John Pepper said that "with the addition of a rosé of this caliber (ed. Miraval) we are well positioned to meet the exceptional demands of both customers and partners."

Confidentiality Pact

As managing director of the Scheffler-owned Stoli Group-which owns Tenuta del Mondo-worldwide, Damian Macchini said he has long admired Miraval's "exceptional" wines and brand and is thrilled to hold a position alongside Brad Pitt and his exceptional vintages.

"We are honored to do our part to help maintain integrity and are committed to investing time and passion into both the Chateau and the Miraval brand."

The new owners of Jolie's stake are renowned for one of the world's leading red wines, Ornellaia, and although many expected announcements from the Perrin family, who have been "running" Brad Pitt's venture in Provence and Chateau Miraval from the start, nothing has been forthcoming so far.

Guests at the champagne launch a few months ago enjoyed the family's hospitality but did not see Brad Pitt, who was there for ten days and left the day before the event.

An event in which for the first time guests had access to the garden of the tower, which has never been opened for such an invitation before.[BR]

The Perrin family, which has very close ties with the famous Hollywood star, has made sure that all lucky guests who enter the estate with special permission do not have unlimited access to all areas, but only to the vineyards, fermentation tanks, storage rooms and some other places.

That is why they sign a lengthy confidentiality agreement before entering the estate, while photographs are only allowed in certain places and nowhere else in order to preserve the privacy of the sole owner, who is one of the most famous acting stars.

In the middle of the vast estate stands a 17th century tower with 35 rooms, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves and the famous chapel where the Pitt-Jolie couple exchanged vows of love and loyalty when everything seemed ideal in their lives.

The value of these vineyards is now estimated at 170 million euros, while the organic oil that comes from the 120 hectares of olives is sold at 29 euros per half kilo!
