The retaliation plan against the Kremlin was unveiled by the British Prime Minister
, Boris Johnson, freezing assets of major Russian banks.
Johnson, in the House of Commons, revived sanctions against Russia, saying the Ukrainians are on "tough defence", while calling Vladimir Putin an aggressor who is causing bloodshed.
At the same time, he pledges, within the next week, to implement legislation to block major Russian companies from raising finance from UK markets.
The sanctions announced by Boris Johnson:
They will freeze the assets of major Russian banks and block them from the UK financial system. This will prevent them from accessing sterling and clearing payments through the UK. Included in this decision is a full freeze on VTB bank
The new legislation will freeze funding for major Russian companies and the state from UK markets
Assets will be frozen on 100 individuals or entities
[BR][BR]The airline Aeroflot will be banned from landing in the UK
