Five Russian navy ships[/B] were declared undesirable, frigates and support vessels, which were due to enter Limassol Port tomorrow for refuelling.
Due to the developments in Ukraine and with the ongoing discussion in Brussels about the possibility of including the ports in the sanctions against Moscow, the Foreign Ministry intervened - according to information reported by journalist Christoforo Christofi on Alpha's main newscast - and the crews of the vessels were informed that they are not welcome in Cyprus.
The Foreign Affairs Council is considering the possibility tomorrow and will decide whether the EU will eventually block from all its ports, Russian-flagged ships or any connection with Russia.
