In complaints 15 citizens and 8 owners or managers of premises, the police proceeded in the last 24 hours, after 1.677 checks carried out throughout the country, in order to ascertain compliance with and implementation of the provisions of the Infectious Diseases Law.
As a spokesman for the Police Headquarters Communication Branch told CNA, 328 checks were carried out in Nicosia, during which 8 citizens and 3 establishments were complained about, while in Limassol 88 checks were carried out, which resulted in 3 complaints from citizens and 1 establishment.
In Larnaca 481 checks were carried out and 1 citizen and 4 establishments were reported, in Paphos 103 checks were carried out, which resulted in 2 complaints from citizens, in Famagusta 403 checks were carried out and 1 citizen was reported, while in the Morphou area 137 checks were carried out, without a complaint.
Also, nationwide, the Traffic Police carried out 135 checks without any complaint.
Finally, the Port and Maritime Police carried out two checks without any complaint. There were no violations at either of the two airports.
