The Police made complaints against 10 citizens and 6 businesses for violation of protection measures against the spread of the coronavirus[/B] in the last 24 hours.
As an official of the Communication Branch of the Police told CNA, during the last 24 hours, the Force carried out a total of 2,144 checks throughout free Cyprus.
In Nicosia 687 checks were carried out and 4 citizens and 5 establishments were reported, in Limassol 184 checks were carried out with complaints from 2 citizens, in Larnaca one citizen was reported after 498 checks, in Paphos 1 establishment was complained about after 153 checks, in Famagusta 3 citizens were complained about after 388 checks, while in Morphou 133 checks were carried out without any complaints.
Finally, the Traffic Departments carried out 101 checks without any complaints.
The four extrajudicial orders to establishments in Nicosia concerned a complaint against an employee without a safe pass with a fine of 500 euros each, while the fifth was fined 1500 euros for detecting a patron without a safe pass.
The establishment in Paphos was reported because the manager did not have a safe pass and was fined 500 euros.
