"Azerbaijanis are our brothers", Ersin Tatar said during a meeting in his office in the occupied territories today with the President of the Republican People's Party of Azerbaijan, Badraddin Guliyev.
As reported from the occupied territories, the TC leader spoke about the struggle of the pseudo-state and close ties with the motherland Turkey and the Turkic-speaking states. He added that Azerbaijan's "victory in Karabakh and its rapprochement with the Republic of Turkey have inspired us in recent years."
"We are satisfied that our relations with our Azerbaijani brothers have gone further and social and cultural contacts have increased. Azerbaijan shows a great interest in us. I participated in many TV programs and gave interviews to many Azerbaijani journalists. I am a nation that we come from the same family, we share the same culture, we are states united by destiny and we stand next to each other in all kinds of struggles. There is a Turkish Republic here, which we all respect."
Tatar also said that what he wants is to increase political ties at the highest level as soon as possible. He added that there are a large number of Azerbaijani students in the occupied territories, as well as many teachers and academics.
