Messages of courage, daring and freedom are passed on through two children's stories, released in 2017 with her signature, by 22-year-old Areti, who reported what she experienced at the tenderest age of her life at the hands of her aunt's boyfriend at the time.Trial postponed to March

Although only 22, she found the courage to drag her abuser lawyer to court, who she claims raped her at 14 after two years of pressure and then began blackmailing her through "pink" footage of her as the protagonist, which she posted online.

This may be the first time Areti Paliou has come out publicly and denounced what she experienced at the tenderest age of her life at the hands of her aunt's then-boyfriend, but she is not the only one, as messages of courage, daring and freedom have also been passed on through her two children's stories, which have been released since 2017 under her signature.

For her first fairy tale titled "Saving Hope," the young author has won two awards in literary competitions, while "The Magic Rose," released in 2019, has also won an award.

Her second book, "The Magic Rose: A Mystery and a Truth," is an allegorical tale that appeals to young and older readers who love the lighter side of life. According to the central idea of the book, only with courage and daring can you defeat your inner demons, as well as the external enemy, any power monger, who may or may not necessarily appear to be and oppressor, and live the freedom and truth that is possible. The book seeks to teach the values of freedom, peace, acceptance of difference and above all the search for truth.

The protagonists are two sheep with extraordinary courage, courage and hope for victory, who will try to solve these questions and eradicate discord from their own world.

At the very first launch of her book in December 2019, Virtue among other things told her then audience "Always have courage and hope and you will win"! A phrase full of courage, as despite her young age Areti, according to the history of the case, had already denounced the well-known lawyer.

In her first book, "Saving Hope", 17-year-old Areti, a high school student in Chios, was inspired by the refugee and migrant problem that has plagued the country in recent years and especially the outlying islands and Chios.

The protagonists are a cat and a white dove, who manage to work together to bring peace and hope to the whole world.

Man is like a cat. Beautiful, intelligent, possessive and cunning. But like the cat, the warmth and love he gives is a gift of salvation. Man, like the cat, hesitates. He is afraid. Sometimes he doesn't dare. He snuggles complacently in his warm nest and sleeps until he forgets that his brothers and sisters are suffering and lost unjustly. But there is a bird. A pure, white, dreamy and tireless one. This bird is called hope. It is a proud and bright dove that will never stop striving, fighting for the light. When pain breaks its wings, those feathers sprinkled with silver dust, it will not bend. He will make the cat his ally. Hope will not abandon the man. It will illuminate his soul with dreams and strength. Hope will save man. And man will save hope.

Trial in March

A new trial has been set for March 9, 2022 after today's postponement of the 22-year-old girl who accused the well-known lawyer of seduction. The trial, was set following a lawsuit filed against the young woman and her family by the lawyer.

The trial was adjourned until the second-degree trial of the misdemeanor portion of the case facing the lawyer is completed.

In a statement, the 22-year-old girl said: "Today we had the court hearing for defamation that my abuser did to me. This man is an abuser, a criminal, he has stolen our souls, me and the two other girls and we are asking all the girls not to be afraid so that we can get our souls back."

For his part, the lawyer and plaintiff said, "Today you are coming to cover the trial for the family that is spreading these slanders against me. I have been acquitted by verdicts for the act of rape."
