DISY President Averof Neophytou sent a letter to Transport Minister Yannis Karousos regarding the increases in Limassol port fees.
"I am following with attention the discussion regarding the increases in port fees, which reflect the increase in inflation in the prices of raw materials in recent years. I understand the position of both traders and consumers.
I therefore propose that the State forgoes its share of the increase, at least for the time being. It could also absorb the entire increase.
For every problem there is always a logical and practical solution. And there are solutions that will help the smooth operation of the market and protect consumers.
To this end, I am sending a letter to the Minister of Transport, Communications and Works on the above-mentioned issues, "said the President of DISY.
