Hyundai was honoured in two categories in the "Best Imported Cars of the Year" competition of Germany's prestigious Auto Bild magazine. This was in the "Medium SUV" and "Electric Car" categories, with the Tucson and IONIQ 5 securing the honours. Both models impressed the judges. "Hyundai serves both the new and the old world with convincing applications in its new models: design, innovation and performance!"
The judges praised the excellent cabin comfort, smart technology such as the Blind-Spot View Monitor (BVM) and attractive looks.
The IONIQ 5 electric CUV received additional praise for its innovative 800-volt ultra-fast charging technology: "The IONIQ 5 charges faster than any other model on the market today." Tom Drechsler, editor-in-chief of Auto Bild, reported
the following: "The Hyundai Tucson is attracting new buyers with its striking design but hasn't made the mistake of being overly modern inside. In addition, it strikes a balance between price and performance."

The Auto Bild winners are selected by a panel of judges from the magazine. Their decision is based on a score for each of the tests conducted.
