German police said a gunman who acted alone was killed after wounding several people with a gun in an attack on a lecture theatre[/B] in the university town of Heidelberg in southwestern Germany.
Earlier, police said on Twitter that several people were injured and that a large police force and emergency services were deployed to the scene.
