The new cases in Greece remain at high levels today, while the increased number of hospitalizations in the country is a cause for concern.

The new laboratory-confirmed cases of the disease recorded in the last 24 hours are 32,694, of which 63 were detected following checks at the country's entry gates. The total number of cases is 1,568,215 (daily change +2.1%), of which 49.9% are males.
1Based on the confirmed cases in the last 7 days, 624 are considered to be associated with travel from abroad and 1.952 are associated with an already known case.
New deaths of patients with COVID-19 are 80, with a total of 21,559 deaths recorded since the start of the outbreak. 95.1% had underlying disease and/or age 70 years or older.
The number of patients hospitalized intubated is 640 (58.9% male). Their median age is 64 years. 80.5% have an underlying disease and/or age 70 years or older. Among intubated patients, 537 (83.91%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 103 (16.09%) are fully vaccinated. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 3,844 patients have been discharged from ICUs.
New admissions of Covid-19 patients to hospitals in the territory are 497 (daily change -7.28%). The seven-day average admission is 576 patients.The median age of cases is 36 years (range 0.2 to 106 years), while the median age of deaths is 78 years (range 0.2 to 106 years).
