[CYPRUS TIMES] Armed forces to return to normal positions within 3-4 weeks, Moscow says

Russian armed forces in western Russia will return to their normal positions within three to four weeks, Russia's ambassador to Ireland told Irish public broadcaster RTE.

"What I can say is, within maybe three to four weeks, the disposition of forces in Russia's western region will return to normal," Ambassador Yuri Filatov told RTE late yesterday, Tuesday, evening.

"We are conducting planned exercises with Belarusian military forces. They will end by February 20 and these troops will be withdrawn. You can check it next week," he also said.

His comments were relayed today by Russian media.
