<BB-2>The Director of Pafos General Hospital's Pulmonology Department invites citizens to vaccinations "Anxiety, anxiety, fear, loneliness, fatigue, sadness, joy and despair are emotions we share daily with our patients"</BB-3>
<BB-4>The <BB-5>Director of the Pulmonology Clinic of Pafos General Hospital</BB-6> and head of the Covid- 19 unit of the hospital <BB-7>Dr. Adonis Eleftheriou</BB-8>, urged all those who have not been vaccinated to do so immediately, <BB-9>citing his personal experience in March 2020</BB-10>, when <BB-11>his life was in danger</BB-12>, adding that the peak of the current pandemic wave in Cyprus will occur around the end of December.</BB-13><BB-14>According to Dr Eleftheriou, about 19 patients are being treated in the Covid -19 unit of the Paphos General Hospital, noting that additional beds cannot be operated immediately at the Paphos Hospital due to the ventilation problem. He pointed out that in order to operate additional beds, the hospital's pathology ward must be closed, noting, however, that this is not being pursued. He also said that if more hospitalizations are needed, he explained, admissions will be made to other hospitals.</BBB-15><BB-16><BB-17>This Christmas will certainly be different for those sharing Covid 19</BB-18> ward at Paphos General Hospital, both for patients and staff, he said, adding: "Anxiety, anxiety , fear, loneliness, fatigue, sadness, joy and despair are emotions we share with our patients every day."</BBB-19><BB-20>We had a difficult year together, he further said, "with pressure, fatigue, stress, sadness for every patient we lost or intubated, but also joy for every patient who was getting well and leaving for home and family."</BB-21><BB-22>Dr. Eleftheriou praised the work of the team of the Covid- 19 ward of Paphos General Hospital for their professionalism but also for their respect for each other and for our fellow sufferers.
