"I'm afraid of death, I'm afraid of illness, I'm afraid of something happening and things not going well" The shocking confession of the beloved actor Watch the video
Antinous Albanis was a guest on Sunday afternoon, on Natalia Germanou's show "It doesn't get any better" and gave a sincere and moving interview. Among other things, the talented actor spoke about the health problem he faced a few years ago, when he was diagnosed with lymphoma, and the #metoo movement.
Natalia Germanou asked Antinous Albanis how he was able to keep his illness a secret and how he coped with what happened and he replied:
"This thing had taken up a lot of space in me and it was difficult to manage it. I had a lot of anxiety and concern about how it was all going to roll in and how it was going to go, so I didn't know what I needed most at the time. I wanted to finish the healing part and then communicate it. It was redemptive to share at the end, my health issue."
The host added that there are two categories of people, those who say "I'm going to win" and those who break down and say "I'm scared," with Antinous Albanis responding: "Those categories are not very clear. Even me who said I'm going to take life by the hair and run away is scared. To this day I am afraid. I'm afraid of death, I'm afraid of illness, I'm afraid of something happening and things going wrong. But the point is to say "that you know something? Even if there is little left this must have value, I must give it the value it deserves. Even if they say, you have a month to live I have to do something in that month, not sit on my couch and wait for death," the actor said.
Regarding how his way of looking at things has changed now, he said: "The only thing that has changed and hold on to it because it has value is that I don't take myself seriously, I don't take business seriously, I don't take any of this stuff seriously."
Finally, the 38-year-old actor also spoke about the #metoo movement: "Of course I have experiences and I sought to have collaborations with these people because it was those cute decades where we thought we were getting some credit from these jobs. We thought that working with a very tough director who goes outside the boundaries of the work made us stronger and put us in the marketplace in a different way. The sad thing for me is that I look at all the #metoo stuff and I see people who have been seriously abusive to me and to colleagues, who come out on the #metoo bandwagon and say "well they're doing good and talking," and it's you looking at them and saying "man, really? Do you want me to remind you what you've done?"

Antinous Albanis had revealed his health problem in an Instagram post, informing online friends that he was undergoing chemotherapy. More specifically, he had shared through a story, a picture in which he wrote: "Exhausted: sure, bones hurt: duh, lost flavor: hell yeah, but i am a chemo ninja/exhausted: Sure. Bone pain: Yeah. Loss of flavor: oh yeah. But I'm a chemo ninja."
After the revelation, the actor received a huge outpouring of support from the world, who support him to this day for the way he not only dealt with the problem, but also for the ethos and help he offered to those experiencing a similar situation.
Now, in the company of his beloved Blu, who has treated him with nothing but love during his difficult times, he can only look forward, despite his worries, after all, as he has said himself: "Nothing is given. So it is good to enjoy life, be grateful and smile."
