Another government party amid lockdown in Britain reveals former public servant apologizes British media report
Kate Josephs, former head of the government taskforce coordinating Britain's response to the pandemic, has publicly apologised for a farewell party held at the Cabinet Office on 17 December 2020 to mark her retirement.
Ms Josephs was Director-General of the anti-COVID working group in the Cabinet Office. The building housing the department communicates with Downing Street.
She said in a statement that she was with colleagues working in the office that evening, consuming drinks because she was leaving the civil service. "I am truly sorry that I did this and for the anger that people will feel as a result of this," Ms. Josephs said.
It should be noted that this task force is responsible for designing restrictive measures against coronavirus and other related policies.
She revealed that her party is part of the investigation being conducted into alleged parties amid restrictions on Downing Street and other government agencies.
