Details of the new cases of the virus in Greece - What EODY announced - The situation with deaths and hospitalized
The new cases in Greece remain high today, while the increased number of hospitalizations in the country is a cause for concern.
EODY's announcement:
EODY announced that the new laboratory-confirmed cases of coronavirus recorded in the last 24 hours are 19,772 , of which 65 were detected following checks at the country's entry gates. The total number of cases is 1,632,641 (daily change +1.2%), of which 49.8% are male.
Based on the confirmed cases in the last 7 days, 577 are considered to be associated with travel from abroad and 2.326 are associated with a previously known case.
New deaths of COVID-19 patients are 72, with a total of 21,809 deaths recorded since the start of the outbreak. 95.1% had underlying disease and/or age 70 years or older.
The number of hospitalized intubated patients is 679 (60.1% male). Their median age is 65 years. 79.5% have an underlying disease and/or age 70 years or older. Among the hospitalized intubated patients, 565 (83.21%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 114 (16.79%) are fully vaccinated. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 3,884 patients have been discharged from ICUs.
New admissions of Covid-19 patients to hospitals in the territory are 560 (daily change -4.6%). The seven-day average admission is 570 patients.The median age of cases is 36 years (range 0.2 to 106 years), while the median age of deaths is 78 years (range 0.2 to 106 years).
