The severe weather conditions prevailing throughout the island caused the power cuts in some areas.
Specifically, according to the official website of the Cyprus Electricity Authority, a total of 7 areas are currently without electricity due to faults in the networks.
In the district of Nicosia Agii Trimithias, Mathiatis and the village of Sia; in the district of Limassol an area from Kalo Chorio; and in the district of Larnaca, Kato Dries, Lajia and Vavla.
AHK crews are already on standby in an attempt to restore electricity to the affected areas.
