Russians are completely blocked from social media, after the Kremlin declared war on these platforms.
The Russian internet regulator Roskomnadzor, ordered the blocking of Facebook and Twitter in Russia today, accusing the social networks of "discriminating" against Russian media.
Following the "blockade" of Facebook, the same was decided for Twitter. However, in recent days, and while the conflict is ongoing, Twitter has imposed restrictive measures on Russian users due to apparent propaganda.

"A decision has been made to block Facebook" as of today Friday, it was announced earlier via Telegram.
French News Agency journalists in Russia found that it is no longer possible to access the social networking platform except via VPN.
The Russian regulator, Roskomnadzor, said there have been 26 cases of discrimination against Russian media by Facebook since October 2020, with limited access to state-run channels such as RT and the RIA news agency.
META this week said it had restricted access to RT and Sputnik across the European Union and globally downgraded content from the Facebook pages and Instagram accounts of Russian state-run networks, as well as posts containing links to them.
