Water accumulation is observed in several places on the Famagusta-Larnaca motorway, especially in places in the direction to Ayia Napa, in the section between Xylofagos and Ayia Napa.
In the mountains the roads leading to Troodos, in particular the roads Platron-Troodos, Karvouna-Troodos, and Prodromos-Troodos, remain open only for vehicles with all-wheel drive or equipped with anti-slip chains.
Also open only to vehicles with all-wheel drive or equipped with anti-skid chains are Pedoulas-Pine Wood - Kakopetria, Pedoulas-Prodromos, and Prodromos-Platres roads.
Open to all vehicles, but slippery due to frost, is the Kakopetria-Karvouna road, as well as roads in other mountainous areas.
The Police recommend special attention to those travelling on the road network in mountainous areas, and vehicle drivers are advised to drive at a safe, low speed, maintain a safe distance from vehicles ahead, and give way to other passing drivers where necessary.
In general, those travelling on the road network are advised to obey traffic signs and the road traffic code to avoid road accidents.
It should be noted that the situation on the road network is variable due to the prevailing winter conditions.
