Option to carry out a 24-hour rapid test for passengers travelling to the Republic of Cyprus
The decision of the Council of Ministers on the measures to be observed at the gates of entry to the Republic of Cyprus enters into force today.[/B]
In particular, as of today, passengers, aged 12 years and over, andirrespective of vaccination history, wishing to travel to the Republic of Cyprus, have the option of undergoing one of the following diagnostic tests:
- RT-PCR laboratory test valid up to 72 hours before departure, or
- antigen rapid test valid 24 hours before departure.
Please note that the obligation to perform a PCR teston arrival at airports in the Republic continues to apply to all passengers, aged 12 years and over,irrespective of vaccination history. It is noted that the cost of the test (€15 at Larnaca Airport and €19 at Paphos Airport) is at the passenger's expense.
In addition, all passengers, aged 12 years and over, are required to undergo a rapid antigen testafter 72 hours of arrival, with the exception of passengers who have received the booster/3thedose of an acceptable COVID-19 vaccine.
Finally, it is reminded that the completion of the Cyprus Flight Pass prior to departure is mandatory for all persons travelling to the Republic of Cyprus.
