Deaths and new cases of coronavirus announced in Greece today - EODY's announcement

The new laboratory-confirmed cases of the disease recorded in the last 24 hours are 7,665 , of which 10 were detected following checks at the country's entry gates. The total number of cases is 1,064,243 (daily change +0.7%), of which 50.4% are male.

Based on the confirmed cases in the last 7 days, 206 are considered to be related to travel from abroad and 2.591 are associated with an already known case.

The new deaths of patients with COVID-19 are 94, with a total of 20,292 deaths recorded since the start of the epidemic. 95.2% had underlying disease and/or age 70 years or older.

The number of patients hospitalized intubated is 624 (60.6% male). Their median age is 63 years. 79.0% have an underlying disease and/or age 70 years or older. Among the hospitalized intubated patients, 524 (83.97%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 100 (16.03%) are fully vaccinated. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 3,708 patients have been discharged from ICUs.

New admissions of Covid-19 patients to hospitals in the territory are 342 (daily change +9.62%). The average seven-day admission is 324 patients.

The median age of cases is 38 years (range 0.2 to 106 years), while the median age of deaths is 78 years (range 0.2 to 106 years).
