Details of the new cases of the virus in Greece - What EODY announced - The situation with deaths and hospitalized people
The new cases in Greece remain high today, while the increased number of hospitalizations in the country is a cause for concern.
EODY's announcement:
The new laboratory confirmed cases of the disease recorded in the last 24 hours are 24,246, of which 68 were detected following checks at the country's entry gates. The total number of cases is 1,592,460 (daily change +1.5%), of which 49.9% are male.
Based on the confirmed cases in the last 7 days, 633 are considered to be associated with travel from abroad and 2.113 are associated with a previously known case.
The ?? for the territory based on cases is estimated at 1.40 (95% CI: 1.22 - 1.58)
New deaths of patients with COVID-19 are 77[/B], with a total of 21,637 deaths recorded since the start of the outbreak. 95.1% had underlying disease and/or were aged 70 years or older.
The number of intubated patients hospitalized is 670 (59.7% male). Their median age is 64 years. 79.9% have an underlying disease and/or are 70 years of age or older. Among intubated patients, 565 (84.33%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 105 (15.67%) are fully vaccinated. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 3,848 patients have been discharged from ICUs. Admissions of new Covid-19 patients to hospitals in the territory are 654 (daily change +31.59%). The
seven-day average admission rate is 578 patients. The median age of cases is 36 years (range 0.2 to 106 years), while the median age of deaths is 78 years (range 0.2 to 106 years).
