A total of 401,173,142 cases of coronavirus were recorded worldwide in the last 24 hours, according to the Worldometers website. Deaths totalled 5,782,786.
Yesterday, 2,611,025 cases and 12,476 deaths were recorded
Almost all active cases 74,339,130 (99.9%) - out of a total of 74,429,194, have mild symptoms, while the rest, 90,064 (0.1%), are in severe or critical condition.
The United States has recorded 2,777 new deaths and 179,169 new cases for a total so far of 78,556,193 cases and 932,443 deaths.
India follows with 505,308 deaths and 42,410,976 cases. The country recorded 1,230 new deaths and 71,365 new cases.
Brazil has so far recorded 26,776,620 cases and 633,894 deaths. Yesterday, 1,174 deaths and 171,483 new cases were announced.
According to the website, 21,039,639 cases have been recorded in France so far and 133,614 deaths. Yesterday, 691 deaths were recorded and 235,267 new cases.
The UK has so far recorded 17,932,803 cases and 158,677 deaths. Yesterday 314 deaths were announced and 66,183 new cases.
