A 28-year-old man is in custody for the arson of a vehicle in Stavrokonou Testimony "burned" the young man and an arrest warrant was issued against him
The Paphos Police have arrested a 28-year-old man[/B] for arson of a vehicle in Stavrokonou last October.
According to Paphos Police Department Press Officer and Head of the Paphos Police Department Michael Nicolaou, the Paphos Police Department yesterday made the arrest of a 28-year-old person in relation to a vehicle arson committed on October 8, 2021 in the community of Stavrokonou in the Paphos district of Stavrokonou.
Police after further investigations, he said, secured testimony against the 28-year-old and an arrest warrant was issued against him. He was subsequently re-arrested, as he is in custody and is a suspect at the Central Prison for another case.
According to Mr. Nikolaou, the fire in the vehicle had occurred at 22:00 on the evening of October 8 and from the examinations it was evident that the fire was set maliciously.
The fire caused extensive damage to the vehicle, although it was not completely destroyed.
