Another 2,546 new cases were announced today by the Ministry of Health with the recording of cases in schools continuing

Specifically, of today's cases, 214 cases were identified from tests conducted in primary and secondary schools.[/B]

In addition, another 3 cases were also identified through the "test to stay" measure also conducted in schools.

As regards nursing homes, a total of 22 cases were detected, most of them in the Nicosia district.

The situation in hospitals



Compared to yesterday, the situation in hospitals remains stable as a total of 223 COVID-19 patients are being treated, of which 71 are in serious condition or in NSAIDs.

Of the 71 patients in serious condition, 27 are intubated, 5 are in an Intensive Care Unit off ventilator and 39 are in an Intensive Care Unit.
