Payments of €2.7 million to 4,600 beneficiaries from CAP for agri-environmental schemes Informs in an announcement
The payment on January 17, €2.7 million. to the accounts of 4,600 beneficiaries participating in the agri-environmental schemes of the Rural Development Programme for 2021, was announced by the Cyprus Agricultural Payments Agency (CAP).
According to an announcement of the Agency, on 17 January 2022, a total of €2,722,206.88 was transferred to the accounts of 4,600 applicants, while the processing of the remaining applications continues so that the relevant subsidy can be paid soon to all beneficiaries participating in the agri-environmental schemes of the Rural Development Programme.
The main strategic pillar of the CAP is to support the farmer himself, each applicant for agricultural subsidies individually and as a whole, as stated by Commissioner for Rural Payments Andreas Kyprianou in the announcement, stressing that the Agency's staff is always at the farmers' side to avoid any mistakes that lead to delays or penalties.
It is also noted that the Agency is determined to provide "all possible and legal assistance to the Cypriot farmer, so that the objective of zero loss of European funding is fully achieved", while it is stressed that the Agency's main concern is to ensure accurate and timely payments.
