Details of the new cases of the virus in Greece - What EODY announced - The situation with deaths and hospitalized people

EODY announced that the new laboratory-confirmed cases of coronavirus recorded in the last 24 hours are 16.442 , of which 64 were detected following checks at the country's entry gates.

The total number of cases is 2,163,240 (daily change +0.8%), of which 49.7% are men. Based on confirmed cases in the last 7 days, 390 are considered to be associated with travel from abroad and 2,658 are associated with an already known case.

New deaths of COVID-19 patients are 66, with a total of 24,679 deaths recorded since the start of the epidemic. 95.2% had underlying disease and/or age 70 years or older.

The number of hospitalized intubated patients is 507 (62.3% male). Their median age is 66 years. 84.4% have an underlying disease and/or age 70 years or older. Among intubated patients, 386 (76.13%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 121 (23.87%) are fully vaccinated. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 4,138 patients have been discharged from ICUs.

New admissions of Covid-19 patients to hospitals in the territory are 358 (daily change -9.37%). The average seven-day admission is 411 patients.The median age of cases is 35 years (range 0.2 to 106 years), while the median age of deaths is 79 years (range 0.2 to 106 years).
