In the last 24 hours, the police made a total of 12 complaints, 9 citizens and 3 managers of establishments for violation of measures against coronavirus, while 2232 checks were carried out nationwide, a spokesman for the Police Communication Branch told CNA.
Specifically, in Nicosia 993 checks were carried out and one establishment and two citizens were reported, in Larnaca 502 checks were carried out without complaints. Also in Limassol, 165 checks were carried out and two managers of establishments and four citizens were reported, while in Paphos, after 124 checks, no complaints were made.
In Famagusta 281 checks were carried out and two citizens complained, while in Morphou no complaint was made after 68 checks.
Also, the Port Authority carried out 2 checks without any complaints and the Traffic Police carried out 97 checks with one complaint from a citizen.
