Two national guard soldiers were attacked in the Athalassa in Nicosia on Sunday evening.
According to the police, the two 24-year-olds were attacked by a group of unknown perpetrators, while returning to their unit after taking leave. The two were taken to the hospital for their injuries following the attack.
One of the two was discharged after receiving first aid, while the second, who suffered a fractured lower jaw, was hospitalised.
The case is under ongoing investigation.
