Authorities seized close to twenty kilos of duty-free tobacco products on Thursday in a concerted action to crack down on their illegal possession, circulation and sale, and tax circumvention.
According to police, a 27-year-old man in Limassol, was caught transporting three boxes containing a total of 18 kilograms of smuggled tobacco, which were confiscated.
The case was handed over to the customs department which undertook its further investigation.
