A 61-year-old man who has been in hospital for eight months after a car accident died on Saturday morning at Nicosia general hospital, police said.
Theodoros Michaelides had been driving on the Tsada-Stroumbi road on April 28 when under unknown conditions he collided with a car being driven in the opposite direction.
The driver of the second vehicle was a 59-year-old woman, who also had a 35-year-old female passenger in the car.
Michaelides was critically injured in the accident and was immediately taken to Nicosia general hospital.
