A 40-year-old man was arrested on Thursday night after having been found to be in possession of a total of 7.5 kilograms of cannabis.
The man was pulled over in the Famagusta district for a routine traffic stop, when police discovered a “small amount” of cannabis in his car.
A subsequent police search of his home found 12 packages containing a total of 7.5 kilograms inside.
He remains in custody, with the police’s investigation into the matter ongoing.
