A statement from the KSEED said that at 16:40, it activated the National Search and Rescue Plan NEARCHOS, in order to rescue a person in distress at the location "Sea Caves" of St. George, in Pegeia.
A speedboat of the Port and Maritime Police and an ambulance of the Ambulance Service were mobilized for the incident, as well as a foot patrol of the Paphos Police Directorate.
