A yellow warning for isolated severe thunderstorms has been issued by the Cyprus Meteorological Department, effective from 2.00pm on Thursday until 5.00pm on Friday.
Isolated strong thunderstorms are expected to affect the area from time to time, the warning said. Rain intensity, it added, is expected to be between 35 and 50 millimetres per hour and hail is likely.
