German Natalie Geisenberger became the "gold" Olympic champion in the women's singles luge. This was Geisenberg's third consecutive gold medal and the Bavarian policewoman's first since becoming a mother almost two years ago.
Her compatriot Anna Bereiter came in second place, while Russia's Tatiana Ivanova took third place and the bronze medal.
