The Social Alliance will not allow the undermining of the YESY or deviation from its philosophy, it said in a statement on Friday.
In the statement, the Social Alliance for the GHS expresses its strong disapproval of the unacceptable way in which the debate on the problems of the GHS has been conducted in Parliament in recent times, as the institutions of the country are insulted, the General Health System is undermined and the tripartite social participation in the operation of the GHS is targeted.
It is added that the Social Alliance stresses its concern about the government's unilateral decision to cut off part of the funding to the GHS concerning the government's legislative obligation as one of the contributors to the GHS.
